Spelling

I am famous for misspelling words. Does that make me a terrible writer? I prefer a great story with a few mistakes, over a boring story written perfectly.

I'm a bad speller who writes stories. So, I'm like a basketball player in a wheelchair: It's a little harder to perform, but I can still play.

As a teacher, I have always encouraged my students to write freely and not worry about spelling errors. I believe if you take the time to correct spelling errors while writing you will loose the flow of creativity. You can always go back and correct your spelling errors after the piece is written.
